Chair gives talk at The Primary Care and Public Health 2018 meeting

John Lazarus gave a talk at The Primary Care and Public Health 2018 meeting at the NEC Birmingham on 16th May.

The title was Thyroid Disorders in Pregnancy – Management Options. The opportunity was taken to emphasise the critical importance of adequate iodine nutrition in pregnancy and to indicate that up to at least 50% of UK women had suboptimal iodine nutrition in the 1st trimester. The importance of iodine in brain development in the baby was stressed.
